IN THIS GUIDE
Order Desk can import orders from your shopping cart(s), sync in your print details and then automatically send them on to Inklocker for fulfillment. When orders are shipped, the tracking details will be sent back to Order Desk and back to your shopping cart if your store is set up for it.
This guide explains how to set up and use the Inklocker integration.
To connect to Inklocker, click on the Manage Integrations link under the Integrations menu in the left sidebar, and under the Print on Demand tab find and enable Inklocker.
Alternatively, search for Inklocker from the available integration search.
Enter your API Token and click to connect.
Once connected, you'll have some shipment and integration settings to adjust per your preferences.
After Import, Move To
Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after they are successfully sent to Inklocker.
You can use one of the default folders already in your store or create your own. Read the Working with Folders guide for more information.
After Shipment, Move To
Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after Inklocker sends shipment details back to Order Desk.
Default Shipping Class
Choose the shipping class you want Inklocker to use for your orders. They offer 5 Day, 3 Day and Next Day.
Default Return Address
Set the default return address that Inklocker should use on your shipments.
If you need to customize the return address for certain orders, you can save different return addresses to your Store Settings and then use a rule to set the return address to specific orders. If a return address is not added to the order, the default address set here in the Inklocker settings will be used.
For information on adding additional return addresses and applying them to specific orders with a rule, read the Store Settings guide.
For more information on what these product settings within the Inklocker integration are for, please refer to the Print on Demand Product Settings guide.
Sending Orders to Inklocker
Initially, getting your orders ready to send to Inklocker is going to take some time before everything is in place for it to happen automatically. For detailed instructions on how to use Order Desk with your print on demand orders, please take a few moments to read the print on demand fulfillment guide.
Preparing Your Items
The following fields can be set as variations or item metadata for each item in an order.
When building the product SKU, Inklocker will give you a SKU like
hanes-5250-ltblue-2xl. We consider in this case that
hanes-5250 is the print_sku and we will attempt to build the rest of the SKU with the color and size that you pass in. If you would like to pass a full product SKU, please include an asterisk (*) at the end of the SKU like
hanes-5250-ltblue-2xl*. We will then remove the asterisk and pass the full SKU without modification. If no size is passed, will use the value: one. You can also avoid passing in any color and we will skip the automatic appending. If you get an error due to an invalid SKU, we may need to do some more color conversions on our side. Please let Order Desk support know which SKUs you are having difficulty with.
Replace the _x with 1-5 for items with multiple artwork files (ie print_url_1, print_location_1, print_url_2, print_location_2, etc.)
